Free Reading Eggs Sample Lessons

Lesson 1 — Part 6

Lesson 1 teaches the letter 'm', including how to pronounce the letter and identify 'm' in words. Part 6 is a Picture Match activity where children drag the 'm' word to the correct picture.

Lesson 3 — Part 7

Lesson 3 teaches several phonic letters and sounds, as well as the high frequency word 'I'. The Letter Grid asks children to identify the letter 'i' in a grid of different letters.

Lesson 6 — Part 1

Lesson 6 teaches the letter 'b'. It focuses on identifying the sound 'b' and recognising the letter 'b' in words.

Lesson 11 — Part 8

The Trains activity is where children match capital and lowercase letters while reinforcing their knowledge of letters and sounds.

Lesson 26 — Part 11

In the final part of each lesson, children read an illustrated book to reinforce the sounds and words they've learned. Part 6 is the book Cats, which includes audio support.

Lesson 43 — Part 6

The Rhyming Squares activity is where children match two different words that rhyme. The audio buttons let children hear the words as many times as needed.
